Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics trainer who later became her coach in later years found her around the age of six. The first time she competed was at The National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, she won. In her first international competition in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she was the all-around junior champion. When she competed for the first time as a senior in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion winning four gold medals as well as one silver. In 1976, she was the first female athlete in the world to use a backwards-double salto for a dismount off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment field performing as figure skater. With her brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol began her journey into the world of entertainment in her teens. Early on Carol was an ice figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. It featured dramatic ice-skating shows.
